Hahkiala Manor offers its guests light, space and old-world style with modern comforts. Let silence invigorate you in the heart of Häme, in the middle of three lakes in Hauho. Hahkiala is located only a 90-minute drive from Helsinki and one hour from Tampere and Lahti. We welcome you to experience a unique manor environment and warm atmosphere!
We operate on a reservation basis and are open for groups of a minimum of ten persons.
Nostalgia with modern comforts
Over the years, the hospitality of the Manor has been enjoyed by presidents and other famous persons from our history. The accommodation rooms in the main building have been named after presidents who visited Hahkiala. You can stay in the room of Ryti, Relander, K.J. Ståhlberg, Ester Ståhlberg, Kallio or Svinhufvud. There is also a room named after a cousin of the old owner family, Aino Sibelius, and Sibelius himself has left a note of his visits in our guest book in the form of notes from the Finlandia Hymn.
The historical, culturally significant premises have been renovated to meet modern requirements. You can hold a conference in the Chancellor of Justice’s old bedroom or the over 100-year old Makasiini.
You can enjoy a historical bath in the Manor beach sauna, which is a replica of the beach sauna of Kultaranta.
21st century Hahkiala honours the style of past times with modern nuances
Hahkiala is a modern agriculture and forestry farm that began its current operations in 2001 and provides a venue for various events by reservation in a beautiful, historical and culturally significant setting. The master of Hahkiala has revamped the manor built in modified Swedish baroque style, the grounds, the buildings and the surrounding baroque garden, honouring their origins and nature. A summer moment in the garden is like a little trip through time to 17th century France, the homeland of the manor’s first owner.The eight different spaces at the manor provide a functional environment for a meeting of ten people as well as a dinner for 150 persons.
